Nickel 200 seamless tube is a solid solution strengthened, commercially pure wrought alloy. One of the more recommended alloy grades, the Alloy 200 Welded tubing has excellent mechanical properties such as high tensile strength, good toughness and ductility. Nickel as an alloy is known to be a superior material with regards its corrosion resistance properties. At varying concentrations and temperatures, the Nickel Alloy 200 Tube also has tremendous resistance to caustic alkalis.

However, the corrosion resistance of the Nickel 200 Tubing is higher, when exposed to a de-aerated acid. Other properties of the alloy include its low gas content and low vapour pressure, along with a high thermal and electric conductivities. Nickel Alloy 200 Tubes can be formed through all hot working and cold working practices. Generally, Nickel 200 Cold Drawn Tube tends to have a much higher tensile strength on account of the cold drawing process.
The application of Nickel 200 Tube includes their use in industries such as Synthetic fibres, Drums to transport chemicals, Handling of foods and Food processing equipment, Piping and equipment used in conjunction with alkalis, as well as Rocket motors. At higher temperatures products like the Alloy 200 Tubing can suffer from graphitization which in turn could result in their properties getting severely compromised.
