This versatile, austenitic Hastelloy Alloy C22 Tubing is renowned to be resilient to not only oxidative mediums but to those conditions that contain reductive compounds as well. A Ni C22 Cold Drawn Tube is processed by reducing its diameter cross sectionally by drawing these tubes through successively smaller dies without prior heating of the alloy material. Cold drawing any austenitic grade tube, in this case, Hastelloy C22 aids in increasing the tensile strength properties of the tube.

The Hastelloy C22 Seamless Tubing finds use in those applications where welding operations are to be carried out either to attach a fitting or some type of flange. One of its important characteristics is that the alloy has excellent weldability properties. Moreover, the Nickel Alloy C22 Tube does not promote the formation of a grain boundary precipitate in its heat affected weld zone. This means that the Hastelloy C22 Tubes could be used in an as welded condition, especially in chemical processing based systems.
Albeit, care must be taken by our clients that the Alloy C22 Tube must not be used at temperatures above an elevated point of about 1250° F. As one of the leading manufacturers, we discourage using the alloy higher than 1250° F because the material used to produce Hastelloy C22 Tubing tends to generate detrimental phases at temperatures higher than 1250° F.
