Amongst the various titanium grade alloys, the Titanium Grade 2 Flange is considered to be the most predominantly available one across global markets. This being said, it is important to note that grade 2 alloy is one of the 4 commercially pure titanium grades. Which means that the alloy has good ductile properties, in addition to having great formability and weldability. Therefore the Titanium Grade 2 Spectacle Blind Flange can be used in those industries where properties like ductility and weldability are highly valued characteristics.

ASTM B381 UNS R50400 Blind Flange
As typical behaviour of many flanges, the Titanium Grade 2 Weld Neck Flange provides for ease in accessing the pipe for cleaning, inspection or modification. A weld neck flange is recognised by its characteristically long, tapered hub. Unlike the WNRF which is meant to be used for high pressure applications, a Titanium Gr 2 Slip on Flange is intended to be used for low pressure based applications. Titanium Grade 2 Slip on Flange has a hole that matches the outside diameter of the pipe which enables the passage of pipe following which the flange is to be fillet welded from both insides as well as outside.
Contrary to a slip on flange, the specified ASTM B381 UNS R50400 Blind Flange like a WNRF is meant to be used in a high pressured environment and is used to test the flow of media i.e. either gas or liquid between a pipe or vessel. Used in conjunction with a stub end fitting, the Titanium Grade 2 Lap Joint Flange is to be slid over the pipe.
