Typically, a near alpha phase component such as the Titanium Grade 8 Seamless Tube is much stronger and exhibits less ductility in comparison to a beta phase product. This is on account of a larger number of slip planes noticed in the beta phase component as opposed to the alpha or near the alpha phased product. Hence, we highly recommend using the UNS R54810 Titanium Polished Bars for those applications where ductility is not considered to be a major requirement and a high tensile strength is considered to be characteristically important.
